Our Communities
Our campuses are located in two of California's most charming coastal communities, established during the state's early Mission-building period. Both small cities boast beautiful harbors, year-round Mediterranean climate, renowned examples of classic Spanish-style architecture, and expanding economies.
Each campus is part of a close-knit legal community in which an atmosphere of professionalism and civility prevails. Students at the College are welcomed into the local bar associations and some work side-by-side with local attorneys in various law-related programs, such as the Ventura Courts' Pro Bono Family Law and Self-Help Projects, Santa Barbara Inn of the American Inns of Court, and the Constitutional Rights Foundation's High School Mock Trial Program. Internship opportunities in local courts, public agencies, and non-profit organizations are numerous.

Santa Barbara
The Santa Barbara College of Law campus is located at 20 East Victoria Street in the heart of the downtown area, within easy walking distance of many private and public law offices. Completed in 1997, the single-story, 8,000 square foot facility was built for the exclusive use of the College. It houses the College's Administrative Offices, Library, Student Lounge, and classrooms. In addition to the College's own library, students are also entitled to use the McMahon Law Library in the Santa Barbara Courthouse, located one block away.
The College is conveniently located 1/2 block off State Street, the city's main thoroughfare, so students have easy access to alternate means of transportation to and from campus such as MTD buses, the State Street electric shuttle, bicycling, and walking. Parking is also convenient, in a city parking lot immediately adjacent to the College.

Ventura
The Ventura College of Law campus is located at 4475 Market Street. Built in 1987, it consists of a two-story, 18,000 square foot Spanish-style building, with grounds and an adjacent private, lighted parking lot with spaces for handicapped parking. All classes are held on campus. The Administration Office and Library are located off the ground floor courtyard. The College also includes six classrooms, two conference rooms, and a Student Lounge.
During the day, when classes are not in session, civil trials are sometimes held in the Colleges moot court classroom. In a separate wing of the building, the Ventura County Bar Association maintains an office.
The campus is conveniently located three blocks south of the 101 Freeway and approximately one mile from the Ventura County Government Center, where students of the College are eligible to use the resources of the County Law Library.
